Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA) Voting & Non-Voting Representatives
DAUK is a Country Committee of Democrats Abroad, a global organization which functions as a state party committee inside the US Democratic Party — and is known in this context as the Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA).
The DPCA meets twice annually, once at a global level and once at a regional level. At these meetings, DPCA Voting Representatives elect regional and global leaders, and vote on actions and resolutions.
Also, every four years, these representatives vote to elect Democratic National Committee (DNC) members and the Democrats Abroad Delegation to the Democratic National Convention.
DAUK’s contingent of DPCA Voting Representatives and Non-Voting Representatives is elected on odd-numbered years at our Annual General Meeting. Representatives serve a two-year term.
