Democrats Abroad UK’s Bath, Bristol & The Cotswolds regional group encompasses a large area in the west of England. Set up in 2020, we are a new and growing group covering Bath, Bristol, Stroud, Gloucester and Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.
Our mission is to ensure that all Americans living here are registered and able to vote in US elections. We want to foster an inclusive community among local Americans. Our membership includes people of all ages and interests.
What we do
We inform and engage with US voters on policy issues, voting and elections.
We hold meetings and speaker events which are open to all.
As part of our campaign to Get Out the Vote in the run-up to the 2020 elections, we had street stalls at local markets.
A diverse community
Our beautiful region, rich in creativity, innovation, culture and heritage, is home to several universities where Americans study and teach:
- University of Bristol
- University of Bath
- University of the West of England Bristol
- Bath Spa University
- University of Gloucestershire
Also just outside Bath is the popular American Museum.
