The West Midlands group is a bunch of happy Americans living the dream in the heart of England.
We are a community of American expats who are politically active and want to stay involved in issues and elections back home supporting the Democratic agenda. We are also a social support group for hanging out and talking about the world and the US and the UK and how to stay sane and even optimistic. We are meeting virtually for now but plan on local events for Fourth of July and such when gatherings and events are safe and legal.
Our members include residents of Birmingham, Kenilworth, Stratford, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, and all around the region. We can’t wait to include you too!

Democrats Abroad in the West Midlands Coffee Social

We are meeting in front of the RSC Stratford upon Avon Theatre. From there we will pick a place to get some coffee and socialise outside (or in, depending on the weather!) We are hoping that we can finally meet up and you can join us. Bring family and let’s get talking!
Coffee meet up at Cannon Hill Park
This event went online due to bad weather and closure of the MAC. Event now over.
With the easing of restrictions we are planning an outdoor coffee meet up 2 pm Sunday 23 May at Cannon Hill Park. http://www.cannonhillpark.co.uk/ We will be meeting at the Midland Arts Centre Cafe. This event will be posted in Meetup and you may RSVP on the Meetup site. On the day we look forward to catching up and discussing a 4th of July picnic. Past Events
We surfed the blue wave with abandon, participating in numerous actions, such as: getting out the vote with postcards, press releases, phone banking, and anything else we could do socially distanced.
