- advocates for legislation and programs that address the unique issues of African Americans and the community of Black people in the US;
- collaborates with DAUK caucuses and committees to highlight points where our respective issues intersect with other communities and interest groups;.
- aims to increase awareness and facilitate discussion about the long-standing contributions of Black Americans to the United State, the Democratic Party and the importance of the Black Vote to Democrats winning seats at local, state and federal level.
- We work in concert with and support the efforts of the Global Black Caucus, the DAUK- and DA International Executive Committees

- Raise awareness about issues that affect the American LGBTQ+ community in the UK;
- Participate in Pride events across the UK;
- Work to pass the Equality Act;
- Education ourselves and others on Transgender non-discrimination in medical treatment and sports;
- Provide a forum for discussion, activism, and community building amongst our members;

The DAUK Women’s Caucus
- is a friendly and diverse group of 500+ Democratic women and allies;
- seeks to advance gender equality and related Democratic issues through activism, education and community outreach;
- provides a safe and supportive space for our members to discuss issues, share experiences, develop skills and build networks;
- offers a wide range of programming including educational meetings, postcard socials and skills workshops;
- has plenty of opportunities for volunteers to get involved, whatever their skills, talents or availability may be.

- Markets all DAUK events that are open to the public.
Film Committee

- Founded in 2004, the Film Committee aims to engage and educate DAUK members on key current and longer-term issues through the screening and discussion of high-quality documentaries on the United States;
- Organizes at least four Film Nights a year, screening a documentary followed by an after-screening discussion, often featuring filmmakers, experts and activists in the field;
- Has screened documentaries on a wide range of topics such as voter suppression, campaign finance, economic inequality, environment and energy issues, the financial crisis, racism and the criminal justice system, national security and civil liberties, the power and influence of right-wing media, women’s rights and more;
- Collaborates on organizing Film Nights with other committees and caucuses;
- Welcomes new people to join the team as well as suggestions of films from all DAUK members.

Young Democrats

- Objectives are aligned with the Young Democrats of America organization that seeks to mobilize young people under the age of 36 to participate in the electoral process to elect Democrats, influence the ideals of the Democratic Party, advocate for progressive issues.
- We hold monthly happy hours for casual meetings and recruiting new members.
- We also hold monthly themed policy talks to educate ourselves on contemporary issues.
- Helps steer young people interested in becoming politically involved into the broader activities of the Democrats Abroad.

- Offers a space for DAUK members to discuss, analyze, research and debate policies related to Economic issues, Environment and Energy issues, Healthcare, Immigration, Voting Rights and Democracy, and other critical issues for the United States;
- Engages and educates DAUK members on issues and policies through the provision of high-quality information, analysis and organized events;
- Collaborates with other DAUK committees on projects and supports advocacy and activism;
- Encourages engagement with Democrats Abroad and the development of resolutions for DPCA and planks for the Democrats Abroad Platform.
- Promotes civic engagement on party and government policy;
- Welcomes new members to the existing groups and to developing the overall project.

Get Out the Vote (GOTV) &
Voter Registration Team

- Conducts systematic outreach to get US citizens living in the UK to register to vote at events, universities, businesses – wherever US citizens can be found across the UK
- Provides training for volunteers in how to advise and help people to register to vote
- Supports all Get Out the Vote activities
- In election years – both mid-term and general – DAUK sets up a campaign office in London

Tax Committee

- Focused on advocating on behalf of DAUK members facing US tax and financial services discrimination;
- Addvocates for a switch to Residency Based Taxation, same country same exception on FATCA, and an exemption from the Windfall Elimination Provision;
- Provides tax education and tax advocacy events in-person and online.
