We believe that the most important job we have as Democrats Abroad is to vote, and to help our fellow citizens abroad vote.
We have a great time, and we’d love to have your help.
We want to ensure all US citizens know how to from abroad: how to register, request and return their absentee ballots. We aim to counter the myths and promote the truths about our votes from abroad: that our votes are counted, that our votes already swing elections, and that we can make an even bigger difference in 2020 and beyond if we all vote. We:
— Run regular voter registration training sessions, focusing on using the nonpartisan votefromabroad.org website created by the Democratic Party Committee Abroad.
— Organize in-person and virtual nonpartisan voter registration drives at companies, clubs, international schools and universities around the UK.
— Create and promote overseas voting messages on our Vote From Abroad social media platforms to reach out beyond our DA membership.
— Collaborate with DAUK caucuses and committees to make voter registration a part of every event and activity.
— Train volunteers to ensure all DA members vote by calling them using DA’s phone banking software or writing them postcards.
— Encourage all DA members to use our Voting Champion toolkit, our relational organizing program that helps us ensure that our personal and professional contacts know how and why to vote from abroad.
