DAUK resources include, but are not limited to, the following communications tools when maintained or used by or on behalf of DAUK or any of its offices, committees, chapters, caucuses, or other internal groups or roles:
- E-mail accounts
- Newsletters
- Social media accounts
- Web pages
- Online discussion groups
DAUK’s sole promotion of candidates to the membership will be the publication by the Elections Committee of the names and statements of verified candidates whose nominations and statements have been received by February 20th 2021. This will be facilitated by the Elections Committee.
Those DAUK members who maintain newsletters, social media accounts, e-mail lists, and other communication tools held by or on behalf of DAUK are authorised to use such tools to inform DAUK members of the time, date, and details of the General Meeting, as well as any deadlines for nominations and candidate statements.
This authorisation does not allow for further communication about the General Meeting or any promotion, endorsement or campaigning for particular candidates.
The Elections Committee cannot restrict candidates’ ability to use their own resources to campaign to their personal contacts from their personal e-mail accounts and other personal resources.
However, those with access to DAUK membership or mailing lists (including those for DAUK Committees, Caucuses or events organisation) must not access such lists in order to obtain the names or contact details on such lists for personal or campaign purposes.
