Dear friend,
It seems like just yesterday that we completed the midterms, with historic, stunning results. In growing our Senate majority and keeping the House to a razor-thin margin for the opposition, Democrats have set ourselves up well for the race for the White House in 2024.
But we know we cannot take anything for granted, and that every election is competitive, from the Presidential to local and state government races. Every election matters – for our civil liberties, for economic opportunity and for our vision of a fair, a kind and an inclusive society.
With this in mind, I would like to encourage you, our members, to participate in the upcoming DAUK internal elections. If you’d like to be in the vanguard of strategy and execution for the 2024 Presidential election, please consider running for a DAUK leadership position. Nominations are due today (Feb. 5) and the link for self-nominations or nominating another member is here. For more information on elected leadership positions, as well as instructions on how to vote in the DAUK internal elections (ballot request deadline of March 26), please see below. The directory of current DAUK leaders and the organization can be found on the DAUK website.
There are few callings higher than public service, i.e. working to shape the common good. In my time as DAUK chair for the last two years, I have found the experience humbling, exhilarating, instructive and inspiring – and 100% affirming of the rightness of the Democratic mission.
Thank you for being a member of DAUK. I look forward to your participation in our organization.
Democratically yours,
Wen-Wen
