Moderated by Reproductive Justice Action Team chair Salli Swartz, we’ll hear from Andrea Miller, President of the National Institute for Reproductive Health, and Dawn Porter, award-winning producer and filmmaker of TRAPPED. Miller will discuss how the Supreme Court’s decision translates into real life for women in red, purple, and yes, even in blue states. She will detail what this courageous, dedicated Institute is doing to effect change and what you can do right now to fight back! TRAPPED takes viewers to the frontlines of the fight for reproductive rights by following two Southern clinics that struggle to provide care in an increasingly hostile legal and political climate.
Finally, we’re planning a series of events beginning at the end of October. Topics include gender-based violence, reproductive rights, even menopause! If you have ideas about additional topics, or would like to present one, please email us at [email protected].
